Eclipse Biofarm Thiamin is a complementary feed for horses containing pure vitamin B1. Thiamin, or vitamin B1, is important for the horse's metabolism of, among other things, carbohydrates, certain muscle and nerve functions and for the body's energy production and stress management. Thiamine is recommended for horses affected by patellar detachment, horses in hard competition or training, or when changing the feeding regimen. Vitamin B1 is water-soluble and any excess is excreted via the horse's urine, therefore the risk of overdosing on thiamine is small.
