Riding helmets

Using a helmet is a given for everyone who rides or drives. Top-level riders in both show-jumping and dressage use helmets in both training and competition.

A helmet can make a decisive difference to the outcome of an accident. The helmet has to have the right safety marking to certify that it offers complete protection. All Höök's helmets comply with the standard requirements for riding helmets. You have to have an approved helmet to take part in any activities organised by the Swedish Equestrian Federation.

The most important thing is that the helmet fits well and is comfortable and, above all, must not be too large and must protect the forehead, temples and back of the head. If the helmet is too large, it can slide and move out of the position where it is most needed.
