How Back On Track works

backontrack

Back on Track's joint and muscle protectors are all made from functional textiles with heat-reflective properties. The textiles used combine ancient Chinese experience and modern scientific textile technology. Tiny ceramic particles are melted into the polyester or polypropylene threads.
They reflect heat back onto the body as they are heated up by body warmth. The reflected heat acts as long-lasting radiated warmth, equivalent to long-term infrared radiation.
Long-term infrared heat radiation is proven to boost blood circulation. Improved circulation in the tissues loosens muscle tension, and contributes to enhanced performance. An important area of use is injury prevention when the garment is used for training and competitions. Radiation in this context is the emission of warmth from a heat source which meets and heats up another surface.
Back on Track products work with radiated heat that do not trap it through insulation, so allowing the body to breath and enhancing heat energy within the body's tissues.
Humans and animals radiate body heat at rest and when active. But of course, less heat is radiated when at rest than when the body is working.

How to use Back on Track®

Please read the user and washing instructions before using the product.
Always begin using Back on Track products gradually. Use the product for a maximum of 4 hours per day for the first 2-3 days. Your body will then be able to get used to the effect of the material.

We recommend starting with a maximum of 4 hours of use because some people may experience discomfort initially. When used on horses and dogs, swelling may occur. This is due to increased blood flow, which is actually a good sign of the effect of the ceramic material. Initial discomfort or swelling may also occur after a few hours of use. Stop using the product for the rest of the day, and begin using it gradually over the following days.
After the introduction period, increase use up to a minimum of 8 hours per day, preferably even longer. After a few hours of use, a beneficial effect is achieved on tense muscles and stiff joints. More serious conditions can require up to 10-20 days before the desired result is achieved.

After the first 2-3 days, it is important to continue using the product intensively for at least 10, preferably 20 days before feeling the effect. Because the ceramic material reflects more of the body's radiated heat when we are in motion, the effect is greatest if the product is worn when active. But Back on Track also works when at rest, including when asleep.
Continue to use the product according to the routine that suits you, or wear it for 2 weeks and then take a break for the 3rd week to avoid over-familiarisation. The point at which your body gets used to the material varies according to each individual. For maximum beneficial effect, the ceramic material must come into direct contact with the skin (if necessary, a thin cotton layer can be worn in between).

Note:

Caution is recommended when using with ointments or such like, which may enhance the effect.Only use the product according to the instructions and consult your doctor if symptoms persist. Do not use when pregnant.
Specific user instructions for horses and dogs
Remember that the effect of Back on Track is enhanced by movement, as body heat is increased. So in addition to using pads and blankets in the stable, a horse may benefit from exercise while wearing Back on Track products. Particularly beneficial in this respect are leg wraps, bandages, saddle blankets, rugs and horse walker rugs.
